Coaching

Agri-Marketing

Communicating to the agricultural market is an entirely different kettle of fish, why put an advert in a rural publication? Farmers receive over 10 different issues per month, not including multiple supplier annual reports, newsletters and magazines, breeding catalogues, agronomic publications and reports (maize, new grass, cropping, etc), feed information, farm equipment and machinery collateral, rural supply outlet sales brochures and bank bulletins.

When are they going to have the time to read all of these, coupled with constant meetings from reps, agents and bank managers? Time is limited to say the least!

Franchise Marketing

Marketing solutions for franchisors and franchisees can be equally beneficial both on a national and local level. A Franchisee usually pays contributions to a marketing fund which the Franchisor head office manages predominantly on a national level to create greater brand exposure for the system as a whole. This is great for brand awareness and generating leads, but what if your area is not territory specific and your biggest competition are your franchise cousins down the road? People love your product, but who are they going to go to – your Franchise because it’s close to their work, or your Franchise cousins because they’re close to their home?

We have worked with several franchisees in getting their brand represented on a local level by communicating to the specific target markets with the appropriate regionally tailored key messages and imagery. New Zealand communities have a lot of pride for the regions they reside in and are strong advocates for supporting local business, so often franchises are perceived as big scary national organisations and if called you’ll be put through to a call centre – which we know is not the case! But by localising the messaging we can overcome this. A simple solution can even be having a local phone number rather than a free-phone number.

As a franchise system ourselves, we understand the complexities of a Franchise Agreement and the extent of guidelines and restrictions within the Manuals, as well as the importance of a solid brand to grow the franchise system. Therefore, we always ensure the local marketing strategies we recommend are complimentary to the national franchise’s marketing, and are communicated to and signed-off by the Franchisor before proceeding.
